• Ryan published her work in Journal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences where she reported high vulnerability of deep podzolized carbon after exposure to new carbon or nitrogen input. Congrats!

September 2024

• We welcomed Christen Riedeman and Gabby Rutan as research interns, both of whom are interested in soil health assessment. They are supported by the UF Active Learning Program.
• We received a grant from USDA NRCS Cooperative Soil Science and Soil Survey Research program to conduct research on soil carbon and dynamic soil properties in Florida.

July 2024

• Congratulations to Courtney and JoAnn for their successful MS defenses.
• We hosted Ruby Feng and John Cao as research assistants, thanks to the collaboration with the UF’s Student Science Training Program. They helped Franky with assessing soil health in integrated crop-livestock systems in Florida.
• We hosted Dr. Fatimata Saba from the Institute of Environment and Agricultural Research, Burkina Faso. She was sponsored to visit UF by the USDA-AFS.
